1. Scope and Applicability
This Shipping Policy applies exclusively to wholesale and bulk business-to-business orders placed with M/s Madanlal Narayan, trading as Nivrá by Porwals, through our website, purchase order, or email and telephonic confirmation. It does not apply to retail or individual consumer purchases.
- Buyers under this policy are registered businesses, retailers, distributors or trade purchasers — not individual consumers.
- Order-specific shipping terms confirmed in a purchase order, proforma invoice or sales contract will prevail over this general policy in case of conflict.
2. Order Confirmation and Production Lead Time
- Orders are confirmed only upon written acknowledgment of the purchase order or proforma invoice, and receipt of the agreed advance payment where applicable.
- Standard production and handloom weaving lead time is 4–6 weeks from order confirmation, depending on product, fabric, quantity and the customisation involved.
- Made-to-order, custom-woven or dyed-to-sample products may carry extended lead times, which will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.
- Lead times are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly agreed in writing.
3. Minimum Order Quantity
Wholesale orders are subject to product-specific minimum order quantities and, where applicable, minimum order values. MOQ details are confirmed at the time of quotation, and are kept flexible for first-time buyers.
Tell us the product and quantity you have in mind through the enquiry form, and our B2B team will confirm the applicable minimum along with pricing.
4. Shipping Terms (Incoterms)
We ship domestically within India and internationally on the following Incoterms® 2020 basis, as agreed per order:
| EXW — Ex Works | Buyer arranges and bears all freight, insurance and export/import formalities from our Indore facility. |
|---|---|
| FOB — Free on Board | The Company delivers goods to the nominated Indian port. Buyer bears freight and insurance thereafter. |
| CIF / CIP | The Company arranges freight and insurance to the named destination port or place, where offered. |
| DDP — Delivered Duty Paid | Offered selectively. Buyer to confirm availability and cost at quotation stage. |
The applicable Incoterm, named place and cost allocation will be stated on the commercial invoice and the sales contract for each order.
5. Freight and Logistics Partners
- Domestic consignments are shipped via reputed surface, road freight and courier partners, as appropriate to consignment size.
- International consignments are shipped via ocean freight (FCL or LCL) or air freight through empanelled freight forwarders, depending on order volume, urgency and destination.
- We reserve the right to select the freight forwarder or carrier, unless the buyer nominates its own forwarder in writing.
Freight cost depends on your destination city, which is why we ask for it on the enquiry form. Pricing quoted to you will state the freight basis clearly.
6. Customs, Duties and Import Compliance
For international orders:
- Unless shipped on a DDP basis, the buyer is solely responsible for import duties, GST or VAT, customs clearance, and any other charges levied by the destination country.
- Buyers are responsible for ensuring the products conform to the import regulations, labelling and technical standards of the destination country — including EU market requirements such as textile fibre labelling under EU Regulation 1007/2011, where applicable.
- We will provide standard export documentation to support customs clearance, but are not liable for delays or denial of entry caused by destination-country regulations.
7. Shipping Documentation
The following documents are issued with each wholesale consignment, as applicable:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin, on request
- Bill of Lading or Airway Bill
- HS Code classification for the shipped goods
- Any additional certification specifically agreed, such as a fumigation certificate for wooden packing material
8. Partial and Split Shipments
- Large orders may be dispatched in multiple shipments or lots, based on production readiness, container load optimisation, or buyer instruction.
- Partial shipment does not constitute grounds for order cancellation unless expressly agreed in the sales contract.
9. Quality Inspection Prior to Dispatch
Goods undergo an internal quality check for weave, colour consistency and finishing prior to packing.
Buyers requiring third-party pre-shipment inspection must arrange and communicate this at the time of order confirmation. Associated costs are borne by the buyer unless otherwise agreed.
10. Indicative Delivery Timelines
| Domestic — within India | 7–15 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. |
|---|---|
| Middle East / GCC, including UAE | 10–20 business days after dispatch. |
| EU and UK | 20–35 business days after dispatch by ocean freight, or 7–12 business days by air freight. |
| Other markets | As confirmed per order. |
These timelines are indicative for wholesale and bulk consignments, and depend on carrier schedules, port congestion and customs processing beyond our control. They run from dispatch, and are additional to the production lead time in Section 2.
11. Force Majeure and Delays
We shall not be liable for shipment delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, port congestion, carrier capacity constraints, customs holds or governmental action. We will notify the buyer of any material delay as soon as reasonably practicable.
